Manager, Safety Compliance & Training

Essential Functions: Develop and oversee all companies' health & safety compliance programs to address systematically and responsibly, the health and safety compliance concerns of the company through provided resources. Identify company safety training needs based on federal, state, and local regulations as well as industry best practices.  Provide content for training of employees pertaining to safety compliance programs and standards, and conduct training in some cases when a subject matter expert is needed Facilitate compliance efforts by overseeing and providing technical assistance where required, including, but not limited to, identifying and evaluating program areas and/or any compliance issues, recommending solutions, and their associated cost estimates, providing training and education and oversight of compliance efforts as required. Ensure that all programs and initiatives taken by company are compliant with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations, and are in alignment with best practices. Maintain a current and full understanding of health & safety laws and regulations and their specific impact upon the company including participation in the legislative and regulatory process. Manage and motivate direct reports to maximize efforts and productivity and to meet goals and objectives. Build team spirit and direction. Train, motivate and guide other employees to work collaboratively with all business units. May supervise other employees in the department and coach on demonstration of strong communication skills. Inspect/audit company programs, policies, and work practices for compliance to company requirements, best practices, and relevant laws and regulations.  Provide summary reports of findings and recommended corrective actions whenever deficiencies are identified. Performs other duties as assigned. Education:     Bachelor's degree required with some instructional background experience or education.   Type of Degree or Major Area of Study: Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science or related field such as Biology, Chemistry, Engineering and/or Geology. Type of Experience Required: Minimum of 8 years of experience in a safety role.  Five or more years in the natural gas/energy industry field operations preferred.  Experience managing/supervising direct reports. Qualifications/Skills: Working knowledge of applicable Federal and State regulations (e.g. OSHA) Ability to understand and interpret safety regulations Excellent written/verbal communication skills for interaction with multi-disciplinary staff, and regulatory agencies. Ability to manage direct reports and multiple projects to meet deadlines Ability to develop multi-platform training materials Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn other databases and technology tools quickly Other: Professional Certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent preferred Physical Requirements: Stand Sit Walk Talk/Hear nvironmental Working Conditions: Normal Office conditions R1261

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
