System and Application Integration Specialist

Rowan University is seeking an experienced, innovative application integration specialist to join our growing community.In this position, you will be at the core of our work with various APIs provided by major platforms to develop systems and applications that help integrate infrastructure services across various colleges and business units at Rowan University.You will work as a member of the Network and System Services team at Rowan University that handles the day-to-day operation and management of all University owned network, server and storage infrastructure. ?We are a collaborative team making a big difference to a broad community.About Us:Rowan University is a Carnegie-classified Doctoral University (Moderate Research Activity) with approximately 17,300 students. Rowan has been recognized as one of the top 100 public universities in the nation and is ranked third among public institutions in the North by U.S. News & World Report.Responsibilities may include:Design, develop and implement various integrations between diverse infrastructure services to improve efficiency, functionality and effectiveness.Participate in the design, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various infrastructure services at the University.Establish operational procedures and architectural documentation for services you may work with.Propose and implement improvements for the performance, reliability, or security of services in accordance with industry standard methodologies.Rapidly deploy approved fixes in response to newly identified stability and security threats.Required Qualifications:A 4-year degree or equivalent professional experience in a technology related field.Expert level knowledge with at least one of the following scripting languages: Python, Perl, Bash.Experience integrating or automating complex processes using vendor-provided APIs.At least three years of experience working with one (or more) of the following platforms:Load Balancers (NetScaler, F5, etc.)LDAP (Active Directory, FreeIPA, etc.)Hypervisors (ESXi, XenServer, etc.)DNS (Infoblox, AD DNS, etc.)Monitoring & Logging (Solarwinds, Splunk, etc.)Single Sign-On (CAS, Shibboleth, etc.)IT Service Management (ServiceNow, ManageEngine, etc.)Proficient working in a command-line environment to develop applications.Excellent troubleshooting skills.Commitment to customer service.Demonstrated ability to set goals and achieve them.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Preferred qualifications?- We hope to see candidates with one or more of the following:Experience developing RESTful Web Services.Experience securing Web Applications (OAuth, SAML, OpenID, etc.)Moderate to advanced knowledge of Web Services (REST, SOAP, XML-RPC)Moderate to advanced SQL (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) experience.Working knowledge of Source Control Management (SCM)Working knowledge of XML and JSON data structures. - provided by Dice

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
