2 Full-time 2 hours ago Full Job Description The Public Relations and Advertising Department at Rowan University is searching for a full-time, non-tenure track lecturer to teach in the following areas:
advertising copywriting, advertising strategies and campaigns, integrated marketing communication, and advertising creative.
The ideal candidate has experience in more than one of these affiliated areas.
Faculty in this position will teach 12 credits per semester in both the fall and spring with the potential to teach overloads and possible summer or winter session classes.
Class assignments will be determined by departmental need and based on the faculty member's experience and expertise.
The lecturer position is non-tenure track, with renewable contracts and benefits, and provides the opportunity for advancement to senior and master lecturer.
Must be available to teach in person four days a week.
Faculty will be required to pursue service responsibilities as sought or assigned.
Candidates should expect to play an active role working with the department's advertising club and advertising agency, which is housed within the Edelman College of Communication & Creative Arts.
Preference will be given to candidates who can teach other courses in both the advertising sequence and public relations sequence.
The successful candidate will join a thriving department with eleven full-time faculty and more than 350 majors, minors and graduate students.
Our faculty pursues diverse scholarly and creative agendas including prestigious publications and international peer-reviewed conferences.
We are one of six departments in the Edelman College of Communication & Creative Arts at Rowan University, a nationally ranked research university in Glassboro, NJ located 25 miles from Philadelphia, PA.
Qualifications:
Experience teaching at the college level A Master's Degree in strategic communication, public relations, or advertising.
Experience in the field desired.
